PERLAMANDE factory

PERLAMANDE perpetuates an almond tradition in Haute Provence that goes back to 1920.

Established in Oraison, « a town in the countryside » in the Durance Valley in the Haute Provence Alps, PERLAMANDE embodies the almond production in this region which represented a third of French production in the 20th century.

Activity started in 1920 with a nut cracking service for local almond growers. This developped progressively into the transformation of almonds (1960). Then PERLAMANDE started specialising in the transformation of organic almonds during the years 1960-70, producing purées, conserves, spreads, marzipans etc. In the 21st century, it is developing new products such as vegetable drinks to answer the evolving requirements of organic food consumers.

Today, PERLAMANDE, installed in the countryside, employs 35 people and has at its disposal modern manufacturing and packaging workshops reproducing traditional know-how using the hygiene and security regulations of today.

Outside organisations and laboratories ensure regular and permanent control in order to guarantee the respect of organic production rules and French and European regulations.

The company SOFALIP S.A.S. which manufactures PERLAMANDE products is also one of the foremost specialists in the manufacture of organic and non-organic diet products. To learn more...
