Bloom/Harvest
BLOOM/HARVEST
Similar to hazelnut, walnut flowers around April.
Its flowers form large buds in catkins hanging a few centimetres from the end of the current year's twigs.
Walnuts are harvested around September-October, by shaking the trees to remove mature nuts.
Manufacturing
MANUFACTURING
Once on the ground, the nuts are collected and sorted to separate them from foreign elements (stones, leaves, etc.). They are then cleaned with water and dried to remove moisture. A second sorting is carried out to preserve the quality nuts, which will be sent to the cracking center, then to the Perl'amande site.
