Hazelnuts are the oleaginous nut of the hazelnut tree. They are appreciated for their inimitable taste and their many health benefits. Hazelnuts are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins E and B9, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus. They also contain iron, calcium and vegetable proteins.
Once the hazelnuts have been harvested, they are cleaned with a blower to remove soil, leaves, stones and other foreign matter. They are also passed over an inverted conveyor belt to be sorted, washed and brushed. After this stage, the hazelnuts are dried for several hours, then shelled, sorted and packed before being transported to our factory in Oraison.
