Massala Tofu

Very easy
- 200 g smoked tofu
- 2 tbsp spice mix (garam massala, curry, paprika, mustard seeds)
- 2 tbsp sesame tahini butter
- 20 cl tomato pulp
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 10 cl coconut milk
- 2 shallots (finely chopped)
- 1 cm fresh ginger (finely minced)
- 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
Topping & side :
- Fresh chives
- Sesame seeds
- Chili powder / flake
- Basmati rice
- Cut the tofu into cubes.
- Pour vegetable oil into a hot skillet.
- Stir fry the ginger, shallots and garlic cloves.
- Add the tofu then spices.
- Mix and cook for a few minutes over medium/high heat.
- Add the sesame tahini, tomato pulp, coconut milk and tomato puree.
- Bring to a boil, mix and simmer for a few minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the rice.
- Serve hot, sprinkled with pepper flakes, sesame seeds and chopped fresh chives.
